High-range IQ tests, online
Standard IQ tests measure well near the average and lose precision far above it. High-range tests are built for the gifted range and beyond, usually untimed, with problems hard enough to separate one exceptional score from another. The Resquites tests are all taken online, and each certificate is issued the moment the test is scored.
Why a separate kind of test
A test measures precisely only near the difficulty of its problems. A test made for the whole population has few problems hard enough for the top one percent, so its scores there bunch together at the ceiling. High-range tests add those problems: long chains of reasoning, rules that hide and change, structures to reconstruct from scattered evidence.
Their weak point is the norm. Very few people score far above the mean, so a norm at IQ 170 or 190 rests on a small sample or on a model. Read every high-range score with its interval, and prefer tests that say how their norms were made.
Two measures are better than one. Every test measures with a margin of error. Two different tests, for example THETIS and PROTEUS, give a firmer picture of where your reasoning stands than any single score.

THETIS
About 30 puzzles chosen for your level by item response theory, a generous clock on each, and an IQ at any level today, reported up to 230+. May be retaken, with new puzzles every time. US$19.99 per session.
THETISUntimed · gifted range
QUADRAVA-FR
40 constructed-response problems in four sections, measuring best from about IQ 122 to 173. At your own pace, for up to 90 days. One attempt. US$50.
QUADRAVA-FRUntimed · extreme range
PROTEUS
40 problems of laws that hide, change and travel, precise from about IQ 136 to 184 and scaled to a nominal 250. One attempt. US$50.
PROTEUSUntimed · four forms
NEREUS
40 problems in five families: analogies, hidden transformations, constraint reconstruction, invariants and counterfactuals. Up to four attempts, each on a form you have never seen. US$50 per attempt.
NEREUSUntimed · discovery by experiment
THAUMAS
40 hidden systems: choose four of the eight experiments of each problem, read their results, then answer. Up to four attempts, each on a new form. US$50 per attempt.
THAUMASUntimed · new problems every attempt
GALENE and EIDOTHEA
GALENE draws 40 problems for you from a bank of 400, up to ten attempts. EIDOTHEA asks what must hold, what cannot, and what stays open. US$50 each.
GALENENew · adaptive · practice first
AMPHITRITE and DYNAMENE
AMPHITRITE sets twelve families of visual reasoning for ages 16 to 80; DYNAMENE, small worlds of arrows for adults. Each problem is chosen from your answers so far. US$19.99 and US$29.99 per attempt.

PRONOE and PSAMATHE
PRONOE asks you to forecast a hidden numerical machine; PSAMATHE, to build the networks the evidence demands. Ages 16 to 80, four practice problems, then 40 chosen for you. US$19.99 and US$19.99 per attempt.
Take PRONOE
NEREUS, THAUMAS, GALENE and EIDOTHEA are research editions, scored with provisional model norms and no percentile until enough results are in. The five Resquites societies admit on these tests, from the 99.9th percentile to eight standard deviations above the mean, and, from 5 November 2026, on the adaptive research editions AMPHITRITE, DYNAMENE, PRONOE, PSAMATHE and PANOPEA, each up to the top of its scale, where a high score must rest on consistent success at the levels below it.
Questions
What counts as a high-range IQ test?
A test built to measure where standard tests run out: from the gifted range, around IQ 130, upward. Most are untimed and ask for constructed answers rather than a choice among options, so that guessing does not help and the hardest problems can take days.
How precise is a score at IQ 180?
Less precise than one at IQ 120, on any test: very few people score that high, so norms there rest on few people and on models. Every Resquites score comes with its interval, provisional norms are labeled as such, and above about IQ 190 a score is a position on the test's scale, not a counted rarity.
Can a high-range score get me into a society?
The five Resquites societies admit on their own thirteen tests, from the 99.9th percentile (IQ 147) for the Nereid Society to IQ 220 for the Exocosm Society; see the admission criteria. Other societies set their own rules about which tests they accept.
Which test should I start with?
If you do not know where you stand, start with THETIS: it adapts to you and gives a score at any level today. If you are gifted and new to high-range tests, QUADRAVA-FR; for the hardest problems, PROTEUS. The comparison page sets all eight side by side.
