Frontier-40 gives you forty complete problems in four sections. Each is worth one point when its full response is correct. There is no time score and no multiple choice, and you need nothing beyond basic English, small-number counting and reading a diagram.
Always the current version
The test booklet, its instructions and any updates live in the author's Google Drive folder. Open it there to read or download the current edition. An updated edition is the same test, not a new one.
Four sections, ten problems each
The sections differ in what you see. All of them ask you to work out rules you have never met and apply them exactly.

Built for the gifted range
The provisional norms (September 2026) place the forty problems between about IQ 131 and 169. That makes QUADRAVA-FR a strong first high-range test and a natural step before PROTEUS.
All figures are model-based and provisional. No examinee data existed when they were computed, so early attempts help turn them into empirical norms.
Taking QUADRAVA-FR
- Untimed: no item deadline, overall time limit or speed bonus.
- Free to take. Scoring costs US$30, and your report arrives within 14 days.
- One attempt per person: only the first answer sheet you submit is scored. If you have already submitted answers to any edition, please do not take it again.
- Paper, pencil and your own sketches are allowed. AI, internet searches, calculators, code, reference material and help from another person are not.
- Give every requested part of a response. Equivalent correct plans and representations receive the same credit.
- If a diagram is unreadable or you find a second valid answer, say so in your email. It will be reviewed before final scoring.
